It All Began with An Idea

Our journey into wedding pet attendant services started with our own wedding. As young newlyweds who recently tied the knot at their local courthouse, naturally we wanted to save up for a big wedding to have with friends and family later down the line. Luis and I wanted our beloved girl, Duchess, to be a part of our special day, but we struggled to find someone we trusted to care for her exactly the way we wanted. We were meticulous about her needs, from her schedule to her comfort, while also wanting to stay on budget and have affordable options. We realized that other couples likely face the same challenge. 

 

That's when we decided to offer a reliable, personalized, and professional pet attendant service for weddings—so no couple has to worry about their furry family member on their big day.

What to Expect

We make sure your furry family member shines on your wedding day—without you having to lift a paw. From pre-wedding planning and aisle escorting to photo assistance and VIP pet transportation, we coordinate every tail-wagging detail with your planner and photographer. Whether your pet is carrying the rings, posing for portraits, or simply soaking in the celebration, we keep them happy, comfortable, and camera-ready. From potty breaks to cuddles, we handle it all so you can focus on saying "I do" while we take care of the paws and the plan.

We work closely with you, your planner, and your photographer to ensure your pet's role in the wedding is seamless. From ore-wedding consultations to timeline planning, we'll make sure every tail-wagging detail is covered—do you can focus on saying "I do" while we handle the paws and logistics.

Aisle Escorting

Whether your pet is the ring bearer, flower pup, or simply standing by your side, we'll ensure they walk (or strut) down the aisle with confidence. We'll handle the leash holding, calming nerves, and making sure your pet is picture-perfect for their big moment!

 

Photo Assistance

Capturing the perfect wedding photos with your pet can be tricky, but we're here to help! We'll keep their attention, manage their positioning, and ensure they stay engaged for adorable, frame-worthy moments—without you having to worry about wrangling them in your wedding attire.

VIP (Very Important Pet) Chauffeur - Transportation

Need help getting your best friend to and from the venue? We offer safe and stress-free transportation, whether it's from home, the groomer, or their post-wedding pet sitting location. No more worrying about logistics—we'll ensure your furry guest arrives in style!

What areas do you service?

We service all of New Jersey. Please contact us if you are hosting your wedding in Upstate New York or Philadelphia, we may be able to provide assistance depending on the location (please note: if out of the area, additional charges for travel expenses may be added to your selected package).

 

Do you provide this service 7 days a week?

We only offer our wedding pet attendant services exclusively on weekends. This allows us to dedicate our full attention to making your special day with your furry friend as seamless and stress-free as possible. 

 

What types of pets do you work with?

While dogs are the most common wedding guests, we're happy to accommodate other pets, such as cats, rabbits, or even more exotic companions! Let us know your pet's needs, and we'll work with you to create a plan that keeps them safe and comfortable.

 

Do you provide transportation for my pet?

Yes! We offer safe and secure pet transportation to and from the venue, whether it's from your home, a pet sitter, your trainer, groomer, or other locations. We'll ensure your pet arrives on time and returns safely after the celebration.

 

Do you provide attire or accessories?

Clients typically provide any outfits or accessories, but we’re happy to help put them on and ensure your pet is comfortable wearing them!

 

What if my pet isn’t well-trained or gets overly excited with so many people?

That’s okay! Not every pet needs to walk perfectly down the aisle. We can help adjust expectations, offer guidance, and create a plan that works with your pet’s personality and comfort level.

What if my pet needs a care break during the event?

Our number one priority is your pet's comfort and well-being! We provide potty breaks, water, snacks, and quiet time as needed to ensure they're happy and relaxed throughout the day. If you wish, we can also transport them home and provide sitting services until the event is over.

 

What if my pet gets nervous or overwhelmed?

Weddings can be busy and unfamiliar environments for pets. We closely monitor your pet’s behavior and comfort level throughout the day. If they become stressed, we’ll step in, provide breaks, or remove them from the situation to keep them calm and safe.

 

Can you stay for the reception?

Yes! If you'd like your pet to be part of the reception, we offer supervision services to keep them entertained and well-cared for while you enjoy your celebration. If needed, we can also transport them home afterwards.

 

What do you wear if I request aisle escorting for my pet during the ceremony?

For weddings where we assist with aisle escorting, we wear black formal attire, similar to service staff. This ensures we blend in seamlessly with your event while keeping the focus on you and your pet!

 

How far in advance should we book and how do we get started?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for peak wedding season. Availability is limited, and we want to ensure we can accommodate you and your fur-baby on your special day. We'll schedule a consultation and tailor a package that fits your budget and wedding plans perfectly!

The Paw-some Presence🐾

Perfect for couples who want their pet to be present for the ceremony and photos, but don't need extended care.

The Tail-Wagging VIP🐾

For couples who want full wedding day support for their pet's needs.

The Furry + Furever Experience🐾

Deposit Policy

A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required to secure your wedding date. Dates are not held without a deposit. The remaining balance is due no later than 24 hours prior to the event.


Cancellation Policy

We totally understand that plans can change.

Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances.

Cancellations must be made at least a week (7 days) before the event. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event are subject to 50% of remaining balance.


Behavior Policy

 

Pets must be non-aggressive, manageable, and comfortable in public/event settings. Clients must disclose any history of aggression, anxiety or reactivity, and biting or nipping. We reserve the right to remove a pet from the event or limit participation if behavior poses a risk to themselves or others. No refunds will be issued if services are limited due to undisclosed behavioral concerns.

 


Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for ensuring their pet is fully prepared for the event. Pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations and in good health. Clients must provide food, treats, any medications, leashes, harnesses, or necessary equipment, and comfort items (optional but recommended).

Clients must designate an emergency contact in case of emergencies or schedule changes. We highly recommend designating someone in the wedding party to be our main point of contact for the big day for communication and coordination.

Clients are responsible for informing venues of their pet’s attendance and ensuring venue approval. We are not responsible for pets being turned away from the wedding site location if animals are not allowed on the property.

Clients must provide clear timelines, locations, and expectations prior to the event.

Safe and reliable access to the home or pet location must be provided (key, lockbox, or detailed entry instructions).

For overnight or extended services, we will bring our own personal supplies unless otherwise agreed upon.


Meet-and-Greet Policy

At Bark & Broom Pet Care, we require a meet-and-greet for all new clients before services begin. This visit allows us to get to know you and your pet, review routines, discuss any medical needs or behavioral considerations, and ensure everyone feels comfortable moving forward.

Meet-and-greets typically last about 20–30 minutes and usually take place in your home so we can see where supplies such as leashes, food, medications, and other essentials are kept. This also gives your pet a chance to become familiar with us in their own environment and allows us to assess how they do with someone new.

For our standard pet care services, the initial meet-and-greet is complimentary and is an important first step in providing safe, reliable, and personalized care. Services may not be confirmed until the meet-and-greet has been completed and approved.

For Wedding Pet Attendant Services, a non-refundable $150 reservation deposit is required prior to the meet-and-greet. This deposit secures your wedding date on our calendar and helps cover travel time and expenses, as we proudly serve couples throughout all of New Jersey and may travel beyond our standard service area for wedding consultations and events. The deposit will be applied toward your final service balance.

If additional meet-and-greets are requested after the initial visit, they may be subject to an additional service fee.


Weather & Safety Policy

 

Extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, storms) may require adjustments to your pet’s participation for their safety.

We reserve the right to modify or shorten services if conditions become unsafe.
