30 Minute Walks

Our most popular option! This walk gives your pup time to stretch their legs, explore their surroundings, and get some healthy exercise. It includes a structured walk, water refresh, and light attention or playtime before we head out. +$8 per additional dog.

45 Minute Walks

Great for active dogs who need a bit more exercise and mental stimulation. This longer walk allows for more exploration, sniffing, and movement while still maintaining a safe and comfortable pace for your pup. It includes a long walk, water refresh, and some cooldown time after returning home. +$10 per additional dog.

60 Minute Walks

Ideal for high-energy dogs or pups who benefit from extended outdoor time. This visit includes a longer walk, plenty of time for exercise and enrichment, and extra attention to help your dog feel relaxed and satisfied afterward. +$10 per additional dog.

Are Meet & Greets mandatory?

Yes, we do require a complimentary meet & greet before beginning services. This allows us to get to know you and your pet, review their routine, and make sure everyone feels comfortable before the first walk. It also allows us to evaluate how your pup does on walks with someone who is not their pet parent. Additionally, it's a great opportunity for you to ask questions and show us where important supplies are kept!

 

What happens during a typical walk and what should I expect?

Each visit includes a leashed walk, fresh water if needed, and attentive care. We always prioritize your dog’s comfort, safety, and pace during the walk. You'll receive a message when we're on our way to your home, when we arrive to greet your pet, and a detailed update/pictures towards the end of the visit!

 

Do you walk dogs individually or in groups?

Most of our walks are one-on-one so your dog receives our full attention. This allows us to focus on your pet’s specific needs and ensures a safe, stress-free experience. However, if you're interested in having your dog socialize more, our furry assistant, Duchess, is more than happy to join your furbaby on a walk for no additional fee!

What supplies should I have ready for visits?

To help each visit run smoothly and stay on schedule, we ask that essential supplies such as your dog’s leash, harness or collar be left in an easily accessible location before the service begins. If your pet requires additional items such as coats, booties, wipes, or other equipment, please place them nearby as well. Having everything ready allows us to spend more time focusing on your pet’s care rather than searching for supplies during the visit. If supplies cannot be located, the visit may be shortened so we can remain on schedule for other clients.

 

Will I receive updates during my dog’s walk?

Yes! After every walk, we provide a detailed update with pictures letting you know how your dog did, including potty breaks, energy level, behavior, and any fun moments. Updates can be sent via text, email, or your preferred method, so you’ll always know your pup is happy, safe, and well-cared for.

During the walk itself, my focus is fully on your dog’s safety and care. Because of this, I’m not able to immediately respond to messages while actively handling a pet.

I’m also unable to respond while driving between visits, as safety is a top priority. Updates will always be provided as soon as possible for when I'm on my way to your pet, and after care is completed.

 

What if my dog needs to be fed or given medication?

Dog walking visits are focused on exercise and potty breaks. Because feeding and medication administration can require additional time and attention, these services are not typically included during standard walks. If your pet needs to be fed or given medication during the visit, an additional fee may apply, or we may recommend scheduling a pet sitting check-in instead so we can provide the proper care without rushing your pet’s routine.

 

Do I need to be home for the walk?

Not at all. Many of our clients provide a secure way for us to access their home so their dog can enjoy a midday walk while they’re at work or away.

 

What happens if the weather is bad?

Your dog’s safety is always our top priority. During extreme weather conditions such as severe storms, extreme heat, ice, or unsafe temperatures, walks may be shortened, adjusted to a quick potty break, or cancelled if necessary. We regularly post weather updates and service alerts on our website blog and social media pages. If your dog has a walk scheduled on a day where severe weather may affect services, you will also receive a direct message with updates regarding your visit.

 

What are dog walking packages?

Our weekly walking packages are designed for clients who want consistent, scheduled walks throughout the week. Packages are available for 2, 3, or 5 walks per week and help ensure your dog gets regular exercise and routine.

 

How does payment work for dog walking services?

Payment for recurring dog walking schedules is due either at the beginning or end of each week, depending on your preference. For single or one-time walks, payment is due immediately after the service is completed. We currently accept Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or cash for your convenience. If you have any questions about payment timing or methods, we’re always happy to help.

 

Do you charge extra for multiple dogs?

Yes. Because walking multiple dogs requires additional time, attention, and safety precautions, we charge a small additional fee for each extra dog in the household. This ensures every dog receives proper care, exercise, and supervision during the walk. Exact fees depend on the length of the walk and the number of dogs, and we’ll provide this information when booking to make it easy to plan.

 

Do you guarantee exact arrival times for visits?

While I do my absolute best to arrive within your requested timeframe or as close to a specific time as possible, exact arrival times cannot always be guaranteed. Pet care schedules can vary due to factors such as traffic, back-to-back visits, pets needing extra attention, weather conditions, or unexpected situations.

For example, some pets may take longer during walks, may need additional care, or may require time to get comfortable. Weather conditions can also add time for safety measures like putting on protective gear or drying pets after walks.

Each visit is scheduled with flexibility in mind, and I kindly ask for your understanding if arrival times vary slightly. Please rest assured that all visits will be completed within your requested time-window, and your pet will receive the full time, care, and attention they deserve.


Cancellation Policy

To help maintain a reliable and efficient schedule for all of our clients, we kindly ask that any cancellations or reschedule requests be made at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled service.

If a cancellation is made with less than 24 hours’ notice, the next scheduled visit will require payment upfront before the service is rendered. This ensures that we can continue to dedicate time and attention to every pet on our schedule.

If we arrive for a scheduled service and are unable to access your home or your pet, the visit will still be charged as scheduled.

In cases of severe weather or unsafe conditions, walks may be shortened, adjusted, or cancelled if necessary. Clients will always be notified directly if weather affects their appointment, and they will not be charged or penalized.

 


Behavior Policy

The safety and well-being of both your pet and our team is our top priority. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue a dog walking service if a dog displays aggressive behavior or is extremely difficult to handle on the leash. 

This policy ensures that all pets receive safe, stress-free care and that our team can provide attentive, professional service without risk of injury. If a dog is deemed unsafe for walks, we will discuss alternative options, such as one-on-one training recommendations or in-home pet sitting, when appropriate

Please understand that this policy is in place because we are not professional trainers and are not equipped to manage severe behavioral issues safely. This ensures that all pets receive stress-free, attentive care and that our team can provide services without risk of injury.


Meet-and-Greet Policy

At Bark & Broom Pet Care, we require a complimentary meet-and-greet for all new clients before services begin. This visit allows us to get to know you and your pet, review your pet’s routine, discuss any medical needs or behavioral considerations, and ensure that everyone feels comfortable moving forward.

Meet-and-greets typically last about 20–30 minutes and take place in your home so we can see where supplies such as leashes, food, medications, and other essentials are kept. This also gives your pet a chance to become familiar with us in their own environment and also gives us a chance to assess how your pup does on walks with someone other than their parent.

While meet-and-greets are complimentary, they are an important step in providing safe and reliable care. For this reason, we ask that clients are prepared to discuss their pet’s routine and expectations for the requested services. Services may not be confirmed until the meet-and-greet has been completed and approved.

If additional meet-and-greets are requested after the initial visit, they may be subject to a small service fee.


Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for providing safe and reliable access to the home (key, lockbox, or entry instructions).

All pet items, including leashes, harnesses, or other equipment, must be laid out to be ready for use. If supplies cannot be located, the visit may be shortened so we can remain on schedule for other clients.
